Diablo 4 Gold continues the saga of Blizzard's other popular games by presenting a fresh view at Hell. The follies of the human angels, demons, and man make up the core of the Diablo series, and the former Archangel Tyrael lies squire-like right in the middle of it the whole.
In the years following Inarius and Lilith secretly created Sanctuary in the name of the Nephalem - the offspring of both man and angel, the council of Archangels convened to decide on humanity's fate. The vote was cast by Tyrael, who was the vote that decided the fate of humanity, and consequently, he was held accountable by other members of the Angiris Council, leading to him dying prior to the events of Diablo 4 all for the humanity's sake. His role in the upcoming game is still unclear but there are probable ways in which this character could be involved in the future of the series.
Diablo 3 is a deep dive into Tyrael's story, as he turns into The Fallen Star by tearing off his own wings and plummeting to Sanctuary in which the descendants of Nephalem reside. When he is joined by a powerful descendant, Tyrael defeats the Prime Evils and takes charge of his Black Soulstone. The moment the Archangel of Death, Maltheal, went after the stone, and then was able to turn on his allies and Tyrael was the one who brought his partner to Pandemonium to end death itself.
Tyrael is able to keep his mortal form . He then reunites with his angelic brethren to become both an aspect of Justice and of Wisdom. Diablo 3 ends with him looking to see if his new mortal friend, who might be corrupted, should be the next enemy in Heaven, Hell, and Sanctuary and even the life itself. Aspect of Justice and Wisdom Aspect of Justice and Wisdom probably won't stand by while Inarius leads an army into Hell in search of his first love, Lilith.
The most recent Diablo 4 cinematic trailer from Blizzard showcases Inarius fighting Lilith Armed forces at both sides. While this footage doesn't include Tyrael's direct involvement, his invention of Horadrim and involvement with Diablo IV Gold the Paladins of Sanctuary suggests that he's involved. Dark and light battles upon the battlefield while the now-mortal Tyrael resides somewhere in the middle.
