Powder Brows in Orlando: What to Expect During Your First Appointment?

Do you find yourself in a constant cycle of matching your eyebrows to each other so that they look more like sisters than cousins?

Do you spend hours after hours trying to fill your brows? If yes, then you might have just found the right solution! Powder Brows are the perfect fit for you if you're someone who hates starting your morning by filling in your brows. They are one of the most famous semi-permanent makeup techniques used to get a natural-looking and soft eyebrow finish.

Powder Brows might be one of the types of semi-permanent makeup, but it does not include traditional tattooing, which means that it will give you a more subtle and cleaner look. Now, if you are someone who will be getting your first powder brows soon, then here are some things that you might go through at your first appointment:

Getting Ready For The Powder Brow Appointment

Now, before going for any permanent makeup services, you need to find a trusted expert. After booking your appointment, make sure you are ready. Before your appointment, try to avoid caffeine and alcohol. Both caffeine and alcohol can make your skin extra sensitive. If you are using any actives in your skin care routine like retinol or chemical exfoliants, then make sure to take a break for at least one week before the appointment. You also need to avoid wearing any makeup to the appointment and arrive with a clean slate.

What Happens During a Powder Brow Session?

When you arrive for your appointment, do not forget to also bring a reference picture of how you want your end product to look. An expert will definitely ask you about your preferred brow shape. Make sure to discuss all the doubts once and for all.

After a detailed discussion session, be expert will map out your eyebrows. You will then be asked to choose a pigment that matches your exact brow shade and skin undertone. Before the actual procedure is started, the affected area will be numbed. Powder Brows are deposited into the skin using a machine that will slowly place each pixel of pigment layer by layer.

Timeline For The Powder Brow Appointment

A typical appointment for powder brows in Orlando will take around 1.5 to 2.5 hours, which includes around 30 minutes for consultation and mapping, followed by the numbing stage for 15 minutes, and finally, the shading will take around 90 minutes. The appointment may be cut short or dragged longer based on your brow shape, skin type, and the mapping.

Aftercare For Powder Brows

Immediately after the shading, your brows will look a little darker than you have imagined, but do not panic. During the first 7 to 10 days, there will be peeling, after which the brows may even appear lighter. The final results will appear after around three to four weeks.

While your eyebrows are healing, avoid getting them wet, avoid touching the area, and avoid picking the flaky skin. Do follow up with your technician and schedule a touch-up around 4 to 6 weeks after the initial session.
